24 Design:-

I have worked with 24Design on several projects. Generally they approach me with a design for museum or gallery based interactive and I either make, or help them to make, the technology to make it work.

Examples include:-

Tide and Moon - part of Bede's World, the audience control a stop motion video of a tidal river by moving the moon around the globe.  The programme is written in C++ (using Openframeworks) and I developed a bespoke wireless system to sense the moon's position.


Portland Basin - canal museum Ashton under Lyne. 

I worked with Simon Blackmore (fellow Owl and artist) on this one. 

24Design wanted to give the experience of helming a canal boat. 

Simon modelled the stretch of canal outside the Portland Basin Museum in Blender, while I used a muio interface and some Python programming to control create a throttle and tiller interface to the Blender game. 

It has proved very popular!
